If you managed to run properly your (original) device, you might need an update, so it can support more vehicle models.I had a hard time finding that update (10 minutes+ ) and I will share it with you, in hope of having a better use.As for me it had no use, because I have the fake ms509.

Also, this won't work with the MS505245, because simply it can not connect to your PC or even more to MaxiLink.I have also included the manual for the update.

I have MS505245. Have examined PCB, all hardware intact. Maxilink disc would not load so downloaded from your site and updated to version 3 OK. Perhaps some of the "FAKES" are better made than others!
Perhaps it is that way, I can not tell.

Thanks for your page posting your files and information. Any experience trying to update some of the other files from like the MS708 or larger models on the MS509? I am a programmer, and data network engineer. I haven't looked at the size of the chip and if that is the limiting factor or the processor. Once I am connected to it, I will poke around to determine the limits of the device.
